Participants will earn 8 PDHs. BRING your PPE (safety vest, closed-toed shoes at a minimum – plus a hard hat, sunglasses/glasses, and gloves recommended). Early Registration Begins Sept. 28 until October 19th.
Join us for a one-day training and implementation course on Best Management Practices in arid climates. We are gathering industry experts to present practical information that can be implemented on your construction site.
This one-day course will provide in-the-classroom and in-the-field training for individuals to learn about the regulations and solutions for dust control, soil erosion, and stormwater compliance. This will be an overview of the dust control issues and threats in arid areas of CA, NV & AZ. We will have local regulators from Coachella Valley Air Quality Management District and local municipalities to provide an overview of local AQMD permitting, training, and BMP requirements for your project site. Learn from local contractors and SWPPP developers about the key components of a successful Dust Control Plan. Product manufacturers and suppliers will be on hand to provide key points and insights on BMPs used in the region.
After lunch we will travel to a nearby local construction project to bring all of the information, we learned in the classroom to the field to see proper installation and maintenance of BMPs and ways to comply with your SWPPP.
